Decks

A deck gathers real Magic cards and your own designs in one list, with a format, boards and a cover. Paste a list from another deck site to start, then turn the real cards you want into versions of your own.

How to

Build a deck from a decklist

Paste a list from any deck site, review it, then customize the cards you want.

  1. Step 1: Start a deck

In My Decks, choose “New deck”. Give it a name and a format — the format sets its size and copy limits — and choose who sees it: public, unlisted or private.

  2. Step 2: Choose to import

On the Build step keep “Import a decklist”, add a cover if you like, and create the deck. Building with AI shows “Coming soon” while decks are rebuilt.

  3. Step 3: Paste your list

Paste the list from MTG Arena, Moxfield, Archidekt, ManaBox or MTGO — or plain lines like “4 Lightning Bolt” — and choose “Preview import”.

  4. Step 4: Review it

Check each row's quantity and board, the cards marked as a best guess, and the names Scryfall couldn't find, which come in as placeholders. Then add the cards.

  5. Step 5: Customize a card

Open a real card in the deck (marked Imported) and choose Customize. The creator opens with the card filled in, and the version you save takes its place in the deck, marked Edited.

  6. Step 6: Share the list

“Copy decklist” in the deck's header copies it as plain text or in Arena format, free for everyone. On Pro, Export makes a ZIP or a print PDF of your custom cards.

AI deck building is paused while we rebuild decks. It's coming back soon. Deck guides written before the pause stay on their decks.

Deck questions

What can I put in a PipGlyph deck?

Real Magic cards and cards you design yourself. Paste a decklist and each line is matched to its card on Scryfall, marked Imported; choose Customize on one and the version you save takes its place in the deck, marked Edited. A new card can join one of your decks from the creator's Publish step, and a deck entry can be linked to a card you've already saved. Every deck has a format, which sets its size and copy limits, and boards for the commander, companion, main deck, sideboard and maybeboard.

Which decklist formats can I import?

Paste a list exported from MTG Arena, Moxfield, Archidekt, ManaBox or MTGO, or plain lines like “4 Lightning Bolt”. Commander, sideboard and maybeboard sections are detected automatically. You review every line before anything is added: change a quantity or a board, check the cards marked as a best guess, and expect a name Scryfall can't find to come in as a name-only placeholder.

Can I copy, export or print a deck?

Copying the list is free: the deck's owner, and every visitor to a public or unlisted deck, can copy it as plain text or in Arena format, ready to paste into another deck site or an import. Exporting files is a Pro feature for the deck's owner: a ZIP with clean images of the deck's custom cards, its decklist and a PDF of its stats, or a print-ready PDF of those cards at true size, one per page or on US Letter or A4 sheets. Real cards not customized yet go on a checklist page instead of being printed.

Can the AI build a deck for me?

Not right now. AI deck building is paused while we rebuild decks. It's coming back soon. Deck guides written before the pause stay on their decks. The creator's AI still designs single cards on every plan, and on Pro it can design a card for one of your decks.
