A new menu, a help centre and frames for dayz!
The menu is regrouped into Community, Learn and Account. There's a new help centre and glossary, and dozens of new frames, from the Lord of the Rings scroll to Final Fantasy summons.
Here's everything that has landed since the Nyx frame.
A new menu
The top of every page now reads Community, Learn, Pricing, Create a card and your Account menu.
Community holds the card gallery, community decks, design challenges and your feed.
Learn holds the design guides, rules and reference, comparisons, help, what's new and tools.
Create a card is one tap away at every screen size, phones included, and Billing & plan now lives in one place.
New pages
Learn: every guide, grouped by topic.
Help: answers and short how-tos, with search. The old FAQ lives here now.
Glossary: plain definitions of Magic and PipGlyph terms.
Tools: every PipGlyph tool on one page. (More coming soon!)
What's new now has an RSS feed.
New frames
Showcases: Lord of the Rings (ring and scroll), Tarkir Dragon Wing, Draconic and Ghostfire, Bloomburrow woodland and anime, Avatar: The Last Airbender, D&D Sourcebook, Enchanting Tales, Mystical Archive, Dossier, Stained Glass, Art Deco, Doctor Who TARDIS, Breaking News, and the first Zendikar Expedition lands.
Prepare creatures from Secrets of Strixhaven, with an extended-art version.
Final Fantasy saga creatures, and double-faced sagas.
Borderless transform and modal double-faced cards, and colourless modal cards like Wandering Archaic.
Station frames for Spacecraft and Planets, with extended-art and borderless versions.
Universes Beyond frames for spells, artifacts and lands.
Full-art basic lands in the Zendikar, New Capenna and Theros styles.
Tokens: the Nyx starfield on full-art tokens, a tall text box for wordy tokens, and double-sided tokens.
Every frame is checked against printed cards before it goes live, and imported cards follow their printing onto them.
Also new
Nicknames: give a card a flavour name for its title bar, with its real name printed underneath, the way the Godzilla cards did.
Type ~ or CARDNAME in rules text and it prints as the card's name.
Split, aftermath and Prepare cards can show each half in its own colour.
Decks now get a background and a fan of their cards at the top, show which cards are Imported, Edited, Remix or Original, can hold other creators' public cards, and have a free Copy decklist button and a feedback button. AI deck tools are paused while we rebuild decks.
Enchantments can now wear the night sky. The Nyx frame, the starfield that began on the gods of Theros and has been every enchantment’s frame since Foundations, is in the creator in all five colours, gold and colourless.
Find it under Variations on any card whose type line says Enchantment: plain enchantments, Auras, enchantment creatures and enchantment artifacts.
Pick it on a creature or an artifact and “Enchantment” is added to the type line for you.
New enchantments start on it. Cards you have already made keep their look until you choose it.
Legendary cards get the starfield crown, and imported cards follow their printing.
Make a card with two real faces. Transform and modal double-faced cards now get their own back frame, art and text, a second render, a flip on the card page, downloads of both faces, and imports that land on the right frames. Crowns and two-colour frames work on them too.
Pick Transform or Modal double-faced in the creator and the Identity step gains a Back face: its own name, type, colour, text, power and toughness, artist and art. The live preview flips as you work on it. Both faces are rendered when you save, the card page flips between them, gallery tiles flip from a corner button, and the page is named "Front // Back".
The frames are the printed ones. Transform cards wear the 2016–2022 and current transform frames with the sun and moon, arrows, compass, fan and moon icons; modal cards wear the modal frames, with the strip at the bottom that names the other face and its cost or mana ability. Every back is toned onto the printed cards colour by colour. Legendary faces print the crown, two-colour faces the split frame, on either face.
Downloads give you both sides. The image download opens on "Both faces", one PNG with the front and back side by side; Front and Back stay as choices. The PDF holds both faces as two pages, print sheets place the back beside its front, and the deck export carries the backs too.
Imports follow the printing. Search a real transform or modal card and it lands on the right frames with the right icon family and the back's own colour. A card whose other face is a planeswalker imports the front alone for now. The AI deck remix of a double-faced card paints both faces and costs two credits, shown in the estimate before you pay.
Your earlier double-faced imports keep their look. Open one and the editor offers a one-click move onto the real frames.

More High-Res Frames Added!
More High-Resolution Frames have been added!
I've been working on a major overhaul of the create card walk through and have been updated and added more frames. Sorry about all the little weird bugs when creating/importing cards. I'm aware of them and am in the process of fixing the entire process so it works better. Hang tight improvments are on the way!
***I also appologize if some of your cards look a little different now. I needed to update quite a few cards to enable the new hi-res frames. Once I get all the frames updated and added this won't happen again***

Borderless and full-art frames are here
Art can now run edge to edge. Choose Borderless for creatures, spells, enchantments and artifacts, or a full-art frame for your basic lands — in every colour, each checked against printed cards. More frames are on the way.
What's new
• Borderless — your art runs to the edge of the card, with see-through title, type and text bars. Available for creatures, instants, sorceries, enchantments and artifacts, in every colour plus colourless and multicolour.
• Borderless Artifact — the same look with artifact colouring. Coloured artifacts wear their colour, just like the printed cards.
• Full-art basic lands — the modern full-art basic, with the mana symbol set into the type line. Comes in a black-bordered version and a borderless one, for Plains, Island, Swamp, Mountain, Forest and Wastes.
How to use them
In the creator, pick your card type, open the Frame section and choose Borderless under Variations. For a basic land, choose Land → Basic, then pick one of the Full Art frames.
Importing a borderless or full-art printing from Scryfall now offers to switch to the matching frame where we have one.
Every new frame was lined up side by side with real printed cards before it went live.
Plenty more frames are coming — see "Coming soon" below.
We’ve made a few improvements to card frames, and this is just the start. Expect better alignment, cleaner styling, and more frame options as we keep polishing things up.
From now on whenever there is a frame update all effected cards will need to be updated the user that created the card on the dashboard. The user must approve that they want to changes.
